Since the establishment of the School of Law on August 1, 2003, the following list of honorary Doctor of Law degree recipients has been conferred after consultation by the President of the University:

1. September 19, 2003: His Excellency D. Gustavo Selva, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies.
2. November 6, 2003: Her Excellency Zhao Xiaolan, Secretary of Labor of the United States.
3. March 5, 2004: His Excellency Dai Rui-ming, former Ambassador to the Holy See.
4. January 5, 2005: His Excellency Cheng Chien-jen, Representative to the European Union.
5. December 16, 2006: His Excellency Master Hsing Yun, Founder of Fo Guang Shan.
6. July 13, 2010: His Excellency Hans-Joachim Otto, Undersecretary of the German Ministry of Economic Affairs.
7. April 14, 2015: His Excellency Pascal Couchepin, former President of the Swiss Confederation.
8. October 21, 2015: His Excellency Lo Kun-quan, Founder of Chi-Shan Health Technology.
9. May 27, 2016: His Eminence Giuseppe Cardinal Versaldi, Prefect of the Congregation for Catholic Education.
10. January 5, 2024: His Excellency Daniel M. Tsai, Chairman of Taiwan Mobile and Fubon Media Technology.
